Fortune 500 company proposes small data center for vacant Pinellas Park office property

A Fortune 500 real estate investment trust wants to turn a vacant office building in Pinellas Park into a small data center.

American Tower, an owner, operator and developer of communications real estate, submitted a permit to the city of Pinellas Park on May 21 that proposes the removal of an existing industrial building and its parking lot at 10700 76th Court N for a data processing facility. A 17,653-square-foot data center could rise on a little less than half an acre on the 3-acre site, according to a site plan.
