Downtown St. Pete sports bar accused of failing to pay rent, property taxes

A downtown St. Petersburg sports bar is facing eviction from the Central Avenue location it moved to three years ago.

Thirsty First relocated from 119 First Ave. N to 515 Central Ave. in 2023 to triple its size. Now, its landlord claims the bar hasn’t paid rent for the months of March, May and June and has failed to pay property taxes and windstorm insurance premiums, according to an eviction complaint filed Friday in Pinellas County Circuit Court.
