Sarasota developer proposes 500 homes in Lakewood Ranch

A Sarasota developer is planning hundreds of residential units in one of the fastest-growing master-planned communities in the nation.

Neal Communities filed plans with the Southwest Florida Water Management District on May 6 for 499 single-family homes and townhome units in Lakewood Ranch. This is the first phase of three total subphases. The community is located off Bourneside Boulevard.
