Water Street Tampa developer preps for next phase

Water Street Tampa’s next tower is a step closer to breaking ground.

Strategic Property Partners has received a building permit for the foundation for a mixed-use building with a parking garage, 24,000 square feet of street-level retail and an 8,500-square-foot rooftop area. The building, unveiled in July 2025, will rise at the northwest corner of Water Street and East Cumberland Avenue, across Nebraska Avenue from the district’s central cooling plant, which looks like a nondescript brick building.
