Three towers to rise on hurricane-wrecked Rocky Point hotel property

The Godfrey Hotel on Rocky Point, battered by Hurricane Helene in 2024, could become the site of three towers with hotel rooms and residential units.

Equicor, based in Indianapolis, on Monday filed additional development plans for The Godfrey property, which is 6.6 acres. The filings build on a rezoning request that went public in late 2025. The plans call for three towers, home to a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel, branded residences, branded apartments and market-rate apartments.
