Developer plans to retrofit boatyard gantry into waterfront bar in Old Southeast

The developer who has quietly assembled several acres along Salt Creek in St. Petersburg’s Old Southeast neighborhood is planning a bar on one of the properties.

Odyssey Real Estate Development, which is linked to Prometheus and other entities that have acquired more than $90 million worth of land south of downtown St. Pete, is looking to redevelop a former boatyard along Salt Creek at 1351 Bay St. SE. Previous filings showed the developer wanted to build a four-story office building on the site.
