Atlanta speakeasy chain coming to downtown Tampa office tower

An Atlanta-based speakeasy called the Red Phone Booth is planning to debut its first Tampa location at the ground floor of an office building.

The Prohibition-inspired speakeasy concept is moving into a 7,957-square-foot space on the first level of the 10-story EAX Building at 610 E. Zack St., according to permits filed to the city of Tampa. A renovation permit was filed for new walls, ceilings, tile, flooring, an additional exterior entry, lighting fixtures, kitchen equipment, interior branding and heating and cooling. The renovation costs were not disclosed.
