Tampa's Alessi Bakeries unveils $7M expansion with liquor bar and new dining concepts

A popular, long-standing Tampa bakery is gearing up to move into a larger location and debut to the public.

Alessi Bakeries Food Market, established in 1912, opens at its new location at 3003 W. Cypress St. on Friday, only two blocks away from its prior location on West Cypress Street. The bakery is moving to the former Tampa Letter Carrier Hall, an 18,000-square-foot space that underwent $7 million in renovations to expand baking capacity ahead of a widened menu and offerings, Tarek Ibrahim, COO of Alessi, told the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
