Tariff-embattled South Tampa manufacturer faces eviction

A battery manufacturer is facing eviction from its South Tampa facility after allegedly failing to pay more than $559,000 in rent and related charges, according to a lawsuit filed in Hillsborough County Circuit Court on April 9.

The landlord and owner of the roughly 82,000-square-foot industrial building at 3900 W. Coachman Ave. has filed the complaint against Lithium Battery Company Intl. LLC, seeking possession of the property and damages tied to what it describes as "persistent and material" payment defaults.
