Moffitt Cancer Center could return to St. Petersburg.

In 2021, Atlanta-based TPA Group, Moffitt and United Insurance Holdings Corp. submitted a bid to purchase and develop the entirety of the 800 block of Second Avenue South. Former Mayor Rick Kriseman selected that proposal, but it unraveled under Mayor Ken Welch’s administration.
