A portion of the iconic Dunedin shopping center home to Madison Avenue Pizza and Bingo Time could be redeveloped.

The owner of the retail plaza off Causeway Boulevard and Alternate U.S. 19 has plans to demolish the existing parking lot for a 3,000-square-foot bank, which will be developed by the bank itself. The project will occupy 2.67 acres of the 11.8-acre property, which is home to local favorites including Madison Avenue Pizza and Benedict’s Dunedin that are not subject to redevelopment, according to plans filed with the Southwest Florida Water Management District Thursday.
