Gas station in St. Pete's Grand Central district to be redeveloped

The Citgo gas station and convenience store on a prime corner in St. Petersburg’s Grand Central district will soon be razed and redeveloped.

Local contractor Build America Luxury Homes will construct a two-story, 13,000-square-foot building at 2801 Central Ave. The commercial building is built with restaurant and retail uses in mind, said Qemal Hasanbelli, founder of Build America. The contractor submitted a new construction permit to the city of St. Pete last week.
