Chicago buyer scoops up Edge district office and retail properties

A slice of St. Petersburg’s Edge district sold for $12 million.

Chicago-based real estate firm L3 Capital bought the three-story building at 1246 Central Ave. and the retail condos on the ground floor of the Moxy Hotel from South Florida developer PTM Partners, according to a deed filed in Pinellas County. The building was adaptively reused for office and retail uses and is part of the Edge Collective project, which includes the Moxy Hotel and a future 20-story apartment tower and 19,000 square feet of retail space.
