Yo Mama's closes on $2M armory site to build e-commerce fulfillment center

David Habib had been eyeing Clearwater’s National Guard Armory for over six years as a way to expand Yo Mama’s Foods’ e-commerce operations. He finally got the deal done — without a backup plan if it fell through.

After years in the making, Habib, CEO of the Clearwater-based sauce and condiment maker, closed on the 3.2-acre property at 706 N Missouri Ave. in Clearwater’s North Greenwood neighborhood on Aug. 24 for $2 million, according to a deed filed with Pinellas County. He told the Tampa Bay Business Journal the 3.2-acre property will become the company’s e-commerce fulfillment center as younger consumers drive a shift toward digital shopping.
