Jewish center demolition to clear the way for nearly 350 apartments

A Jewish community center in Citrus Park will soon be demolished to make way for nearly 350 apartment units off the Veterans Expressway.

The Tampa Jewish Community Center and Federation on the Cohn Campus will be razed to make way for a 346-unit apartment complex at 13009 Community Campus Drive, according to a site plan filed with the Southwest Florida Water Management District. That is often the first step in the approval process for ground-up construction.
