Commerce Park redevelopment proposals range from innovation hub to boutique hotel

Affordable housing, a mixed-use innovation district anchored by Ark Invest and a boutique hotel are some options St. Petersburg officials will weigh for the redevelopment of Commerce Park.

The city posted a request for proposals in early April, seeking a developer to transform the 3-acre city-owned property in the northern section of the Deuces along 22nd Street South into a mixed-use development with mixed-income housing. Seven bids were submitted, and while each bid contains housing, the visions vastly differ — only one includes letters of intent from prominent, local companies, and another is the only proposal with a hospitality component.
