Tampa developer plans mixed-use project with 500 residential units in South Hillsborough

A new mixed-use development is bringing hundreds of residential units and commercial space to a fast-growing suburban area in South Hillsborough County.

Third Lake Development, headquartered in Tampa, filed a construction permit with the county for 300 multifamily units, 10,000 square feet of commercial space and 200 townhome units. The project will span 56 acres across vacant land in Riverview at 6659 Simmons Loop, which intersects with Big Bend Road to the northwest and U.S. Route 301 to the southeast.
