Publix plans to demolish, rebuild Belleair Bluffs store

A new, larger Publix Super Markets Inc. store will replace the existing one in Belleair Bluffs.

The Publix at 2770 West Bay Drive will be demolished, and a larger prototype will rise in its place. This is another example of Publix shedding one of its legacy Albertsons stores. The existing store, according to property records, was built in 1978 and was an Albertsons. Publix took over the property in 2008.
