Yo Mama's Foods could buy former National Guard Armory in Clearwater

A local firm that produces sauces and condiments could purchase the formerly state-owned National Guard Armory in Clearwater.

Yo Mama’s Foods has eyed the National Guard Armory at 706 N Missouri Ave. in Clearwater’s North Greenwood neighborhood for over six years. When the city’s Community Redevelopment Agency issued a request for proposals for the adaptive reuse of the site in February, the Clearwater-based company was the sole respondent. It plans to use the existing building as a warehouse for its business, which is headquartered across the street.
