Inside Pasco County's retail development boom

When the retail portion of Double Branch is complete, its developers hope it will conjure the vibe of a lakeside shopping district, not a suburban strip mall.

Double Branch, a mixed-use development at the intersection of Interstate 75 and State Road 52 in San Antonio, will eventually have up to 500,000 square feet of retail space. A lakefront boardwalk will line the retail portion, and developers are targeting fitness concepts, specialty grocers, breweries and small-format office tenants to fill its storefronts.
