Pinellas County’s former landfill is years away from becoming a sports complex.

The landfill, known as Toytown, has been pitched as a youth sports complex, but before Clearwater-based Sports Facilities Cos. can finalize a proposal, the firm needs more information about what lies beneath the site’s surface.
