Sarasota apartment site sells for $1 million per acre

A little less than 20 acres in south Sarasota are slated to become 325 apartments.

Arlington Properties, an Alabama-based multifamily developer, and Battery Global Advisors acquired 18.42 acres for a luxury apartment community. The property at 7914 South Tamiami Trail sold for $18.43 million, or $1 million per acre, in September, according to property records. It sits west of the master-planned community Palmer Ranch.
