South St. Pete development secures final approval for 400-unit apartment building

The developer of Sky Town, the master-planned, mixed-use development in the Skyway Marina district, has the final approval to break ground on the $750 million development’s second phase.

Coral Gables-based Altis Cardinal received the last permit for the mixed-use building with 401 apartments that is currently under construction at the former Ceridian office campus at 3201 34th St. S. The city of St. Petersburg issued the permit, which is valued at $64.4 million, on Oct. 7. A groundbreaking ceremony for the apartment building is planned for Wednesday morning.
