Developer teams up with Cathie Wood to take a swing at Tropicana Field

A rising Tampa real estate developer has teamed up with celebrity investor Cathie Wood to take a swing at redeveloping Tropicana Field.

A partnership of Wood, Ellison Development and Horus Construction on Friday unveiled a nearly $7 billion redevelopment plan for the 86-acre baseball stadium property. The Tampa Bay Rays' lease on the city-owned stadium and surface parking expires in 2028, making available one of the most coveted pieces of urban dirt in the Southeastern U.S.
