Popular St. Pete restaurant faces closure as landlord plans to sell prime Grand Central site

A Grand Central restaurant property is being marketed as a redevelopment site, leaving a family-run gastropub with an uncertain future.

The owners of the Studio Public House said the restaurant’s landlord, Robert Jacobs, has decided to sell its 2950 Central Ave. location for development. Restaurant owner and chef Mike Crippin said that decision came after he had agreed to extend the lease for another five years.
