Boutique hotel inches forward in downtown St. Pete

Downtown St. Petersburg is one step closer to a new boutique hotel.

City staff approved the site plan for a 16-story, 74-key hotel at 300 Central Ave., according to a report obtained by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The site plan approval completes the first step for Gianco Cos. to replace the existing 11-story tower that was battered by Hurricane Milton with a boutique hotel named the Coronet.
