Gasworx, a no man's land for so long, takes shape in Ybor City

Gasworx is years away from completion, but it's already changing the northern end of downtown Tampa.

La Union, a 317-unit apartment building that marked the mixed-use district's first vertical construction, opened last fall and is 62% leased. Across the street from La Union, another 390 apartments and 8,000 square feet of retail space are under construction. The second apartment building, still unnamed, recently reached its full height.
