On hurricane-ravaged Madeira Beach, two luxury hotels to rise

Two Madeira Beach hotels are slated to start construction this year— one that will replace two resorts demolished after last year's back-to-back hurricanes, and one that will bring a luxury brand to this stretch of Florida's Gulf Coast.

The development teams have one person in common: Jeffery Beggins, a Century 21 broker-owner and developer. The developments are a boutique, 56-room resort and a 171-unit, ownership-based Marriott Autograph Collection hotel.
