Clearwater wants developers to transform its underused downtown library

Clearwater has asked for proposals to repurpose its library next to the BayCare Sound amphitheater and Coachman Park.

Museums, planetariums or performing arts institutions have been invited to partner with the city to transform a portion or the entirety of the Clearwater Main Library. The shell of the library will remain intact, but Mayor Bruce Rector encouraged project leaders to think "super big."
