RETURN TO NEWS INDEX The Avenue closes after 13 years in downtown St. Pete Owner Stephen Schrutt said the restaurant and bar couldn't come to an agreement on new lease terms with its landlord. The Avenue, which was known for its burgers, drinks and football watch parties, first opened in 2012.
