Atlanta developer breaks ground on North Venice apartments

An Atlanta developer has broken ground on a 303-unit apartment complex in North Venice.

South City Partners has engaged Jacksonville-based Fansler Construction to build the apartments. The site is at 2600 Rustic Road and 1700 Ranch Road in Sarasota County.

Project costs are pegged at $53 million, according to a release from Fansler.

“We are excited to work with South City Partners to bring a quality multifamily residence to the North Venice area,” said Jason Fansler, president and CEO of Fansler Construction. “Rustic Road Apartments will provide a superior living experience with a variety of options for residents.”

The unit mix will include 162 one-bedroom, 121 two-bedroom and 20 three-bedroom apartments. Construction will wrap up in 2025.
