RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Peninsula waterfront estate on McNeil Point heads to auction The home, located at 5904 Riverview Ln., was previously listed at $5.19 million. Interluxe Auctions is launching the sale at 9 a.m. on March 20 on Interluxe.com. The 0.92-acre property is in the Bradley Shores neighborhood and has 272 degrees of panoramic views. It sits at the end of a private lane off Riverview Boulevard on McNeil Point.
The property is being auctioned in cooperation with Derek Billib of Billib & Billib PA, a third-generation owned Sarasota broker.
“This is a one-of-a-kind property,” Billib said in a release. “Surrounded by water, it’s like your own private island.”
The three-story estate is approximately 5,836 square feet and has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. It also has an additional 2,000 square feet of non-conforming space on the ground level. The home has a large recreational space on the ground floor along with a screened porch, a climbing rock wall and a wine room.
The estate includes a private boat dock with 10,000-pound capacity davits and has more than 400 feet of water frontage.
Some of the unique features of the home include floor-to-ceiling glass walls, an outdoor kitchen and covered balcony and a penthouse-style owner’s suite. High end amenities include a Wolf gas cooktop, a built-in Miele coffee maker and a built-in outdoor DCS gas grill.
Stacy Kirk, director of client development for Interluxe, told the Business Journal the shift in the national market has caused buyers to become “more discerning” in their selections when purchasing luxury real estate. There is this push toward identifying the most optimum properties, though Florida remains in high demand.
“Any time we represent a waterfront property in Florida it attracts people from all over the world,” Kirk said. “Who doesn’t love Florida? It has a great climate, great tax benefits and beautiful waterfronts.”
She said it’s “always a wild card” on who is the winning bidder — especially on exclusive properties like this estate — but she expects to see “buyers from great distances” express interest in the site.
The property was once the site of the Palma Sola Hotel, which was built in 1882 by W.S. Warner. The Bradenton Yacht Club is directly across the river and approximately two miles away is the Bradenton Country Club.
Previews are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. |
