SVN Commercial Advisory Group lands government tenant for University Corporate Park
U.S. Geological Survey will operate from spacious facility in prime Tampa location

Tampa, Fla. (May 31, 2022) – Advisors from SVN Commercial Advisory Group have managed a leasing deal with the General Services Administration (GSA) for an 18,500-square-foot facility in Tampa. The space at 10770 N. 46th Street will serve as offices, labs and warehousing for the U.S. Geological Survey.

The property is in the University Corporate Park, a massive complex containing more than 138,000 square feet. Current tenants include medical clinics, professional offices and flex/warehouse tenants.

Managing the deal for SVN Commercial Advisory Group were John Milsaps and Kenny Anderson, both senior advisors for the commercial real estate firm.

“This is a great property in a great area of Tampa,” said Milsaps. “University Corporate Park is so well-situated, right around the corner from the University of South Florida and several large hospitals. It’s just an ideal location for large operations like this.”

Created in 1949 under President Harry S. Truman’s administration, the GSA manages federal property and facilitates contracting for government agencies. Congress established the U.S. Geological Survey in 1879.

The property owner, Kathy Theofilos, ESQ, is making significant investments into property upgrades for the new tenant. “I’m very pleased that John and Kenny were able to make this transaction a reality,” said Theofilos. “Having such a solid tenant in that space is obviously a win for everyone involved. It should serve the needs of this agency extremely well.”

Anderson added that while the park is nearing capacity with only a few spaces left, about 47,000 square feet worth of pad space is still available for new construction.

“We’ve worked hard to get leases for these buildings and I’m happy to say that they’re close to 100-percent leased,” he said. “But for a tenant who can wait through the construction process, there’s more space available. Anyone interested can contact John or me.”
