RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Clearwater hotel sold for $5.5 million The hotel at 27988 US Hwy. 19 N. was built in 1979 and has 75 rooms, according to Pinellas County property records. A deed filed in Pinellas County shows the property was purchased by AANRYA Clearwater LLC, and the sale closed on May 12. The sale price breaks down to approximately $73,333 a key.
The hotel has several amenities, including a business center and an outdoor pool. According to the property appraiser, the hotel is approximately 29,803 square feet and is two stories. It's about 10 miles from Clearwater Beach, 10 miles from the Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, 10 miles from the Clearwater Marine Aquarium and five miles from Ruth Eckerd Hall.
It was last sold for $2.75 million in April 2004 to St. Petersburg-based Future A&D Inc., according to the property appraiser.
On May 9, a Pennsylvania-based investor purchased the Magnuson Hotel Marina Cove in St. Petersburg and its neighboring properties in a $17.3 million deal. Earlier this month, two Pinellas County hotels near St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport were purchased by Eagle Property Capital Investments LLC, a real estate investment company focused on multifamily, and its joint venture partner Promecap, a private equity firm based in Mexico City. The hotels will be transformed into a 183-unit apartment community called Pelican Lake.
Another hotel near St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott St. Petersburg Clearwater, was purchased by a Canadian investment firm in an off-market deal for $8.7 million. |
