Home Depot warehouse in Gibsonton sells for $103 million

A Home Depot warehouse in Gibsonton has sold for more than $103 million, making it the latest nine-figure warehouse transaction in the Tampa Bay area.

PNC Realty Investors, based in Washington, D.C., bought the 493,204-square-foot warehouse from Atlanta-based Seefried Properties in a deal that closed April 29, according to Hillsborough County property records.

A mortgage for the transaction has not been filed.

The purchase price breaks down to $208 per square foot. Another Gibsonton warehouse, occupied by Amazon and used as a last-mile fulfillment center, recently sold for $496 per square foot. In 2021, Amazon warehouses in Lakeland and Auburndale sold for more than $100 million.

Plans for Seefried's warehouse first went public in June 2020. The project was expected to create 42 jobs and $63 million in capital investment. The property has railroad access, which is critical for some legs of the supply chain.
