RETURN TO NEWS INDEX COhatch set to open a new shared working space this summer The new space will be at 211 E. Main St. in a building that was previously a conventional office space. It will offer coworking, private offices, meeting rooms, event space and member perks.
According to the release, this new location was chosen because it is community-oriented and would give the company a chance to give back to the area.
"We feel incredibly grateful to have found a community like Lakeland that's so focused on giving back and caring for one another," said Brian Sanders, COhatch market leader in the west-central Florida region.
COhatch is joining several other coworking spaces that are already established in the Lakeland area, with 'The Well' breaking ground on its $1.3 million, 4,700-square-foot collaborative workspace last year, and Catapult, a Lakeland-based incubator.
While Catapult focuses on helping startups get off the ground, COhatch's main objective is creating a community through coworking, private offices, meetings/events, and lifestyle perks, the release said.
Earlier this year, the company opened at 2112 West Main St. in Tampa. The space is surrounded by some of the Bay area's original cigar factories and artwork, such as the "Faces of West Tampa" mural.
In 2021, COhatch donated more than $550,000 in services to this fund, an amount that will increase as the company expands.
The company aims to have 500 locations in 50 communities across the U.S. by 2032, with as many as 15 in the Tampa Bay and central Florida areas. The basic renting plan starts at $99 a month, with premium plans ending at $495 a month.
COhatch Lakeland is expected to open in Summer 2022. |
