7-11 gulps up Westshore site

It appears the iconic Slurpees and Big Gulps are on their way to the South Westshore area. Dallas-based 7-Eleven Inc. has acquired a car dealership site at 4747 W. Gandy Blvd., at the intersection of South Westshore and Gandy boulevards, according to Hillsborough County property records.

The convenience chain paid $1.25 million for the seven-tenths of an acre site, currently home to Capital Auto Sales Corp. In June, 7-Eleven announced it was selling 14 stores from New Port Richey to Fort Myers, including three in Hillsborough County and two in Pinellas County.
