TAMPA - A Virginia company that owns and operates hotels said today it is buying the Sheraton Tampa Riverwalk Hotel in downtown Tampa.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts of Fairfax, Va., did not say how much it will pay DHM Tampa Hotel LLC, a joint venture between Lehman Brothers and Driftwood Hospitality.

DHM bought the 293-room hotel along the Hillsborough River on N Ashley Drive for $17.5-million in December 2004. Crescent owns and operates 38 upscale and mid-market hotels in 19 states, including the Hampton Inn & Suites in Tampa's Ybor City.
