Equity Inc. develops medical offices near St. Joseph's Hospital

Equity Inc. plans to open a 36,000-square-foot medical office building near St. Joseph's Hospital.

The $7.25 million project is slated for completion next fall, according to a written statement.

Based in Columbus, Ohio, with an office in Tampa, Equity is the developer and contractor for the project. KRA architecture + design, based in Bluffton, South Carolina, will provide planning and design services.

Physician demand for office space near the hospital's campus was a driving force for the project, Carleton Compton, Equity's vice president of health care leasing, said in a statement. Naming rights for the building are available for the anchor tenant.

The new Class A facility will be two stories, with a covered patient drop-off area, ample parking and frontage along Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Equity is a national brokerage, development and construction firm specializing in health care real estate services.
