Ramada Westshore reserves $7.6M in sale deal

The Ramada Westshore Hotel has sold for $7.6 million.

Westshore Hotel Group of Largo bought the property from Westshore Hotel Property, a division of UBS Real Estate Securities, records show.

Discussions are underway with Wyndham Hotel Group, which owns the Ramada brand, about renovating or rebranding the 209-room hotel, said San Happy Nook of the buying group and general manager of the Best Western Bay Harbor Hotel in Tampa.

The Ramada Westshore, 1200 Westshore Blvd., was built in 1973.

The Westshore Alliance has ambitious plans to transform Westshore Boulevard into "a grand boulevard” and making other streetscape and intersection improvements in the district.
