Ohioo-based owner of shopping centers and malls, DDR, has agreed to buy out Blackstone's share of 30 shopping centers that the two companies had previously owned jointly. The deal is worth about $1.46 billion.

The shopping centers, spread across the nation, include two in the Tampa Bay area, the company said in a statement. These are: Lake Walden Square in Plant City and Lake Brandon Village in Brandon. Also included in the deal is Carillon Place in Naples.

DDR said the properties are attractive since they are located in areas with high average household incomes - $91,000 - and high population density - an average of 543,000 people in the surrounding market, the statement said. DDR is an owner and manager of 445 shopping centers totaling 116 million square feet in 39 states, Brazil and Puerto Rico.
