Nebraska-based real estate investment trust Supertel Hospitality Inc. (NASDAQ: SPPR) sold the 63-room GuestHouse Inn in Ellenton for $1.26 million, according to the company's first quarter report from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Proceeds of this and a Virginia hotel sale were used primarily to improve the balance sheet by reducing debt and lowering debt service, according to the report. It does not reveal the buyer, which also is not yet recorded on Manatee County property records.
The hotel at 4915 17th St. E. is at Interstate 75 Exit 224 near the Ellenton Premium Outlets.
