Wawa is scheduled to open the doors on its sixth store in Tampa on May 8.

The store, located at 401 North Dale Mabry Highway, features Wawa's new kitchen area where hoagie rolls will be baked daily and a full-service specialty beverage area with touch screens, according to a statement.

Wawa is set to open 14 additional stores in Florida by the end of the year, four of those in Tampa, and 10 in Orlando, the statement said.

In April, Agree Realty Corp. closed on an acquisition of land in St. Petersburg for the development of a Wawa store.
