A group of Tampa business leaders believes city tourism would benefit from opening up more bed and breakfast inns.

The business leaders say the city code needs to be amended include B&Bs as an option for overnight stays. Other changes may be needed so B&Bs can operate in residential areas, the Tampa Tribune said.

Created by the Tampa City Council and headed by Ron Christaldi, the group points to Baltimore, which has seen success by encouraging B&Bs to operate in historic neighborhoods, the Tribune said.
