The Tampa Housing Authority has issued a request for developer qualifications seeking proposals for a master plan for the West Tampa Study Area.

The 120-acre area north of Hyde Park, east of West Tampa and west of Tampa Heights was the subject of a preliminary report by the Urban Land Institute's Daniel Rose Center for Public Leadership in Land Use earlier this year.

The area encompasses the North Boulevard Homes and Mary Bethune public housing properties, plus school district and city lands.

The RFQ is due by 2 p.m. on Oct. 12.
