TAMPA - H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Inc. is preparing to build a $60 million outpatient facility at its satellite campus one mile south of the University of South Florida.

The 150,000-square-foot building at 10902 N. McKinley Drive will be the first addition to Moffitt's 30-acre McKinley campus since subsidiary Moffitt Genetics Corp., or M2Gen, opened a four-story, 100,000-square-foot building in 2009.

The project reflects Moffitt's growing role in the fight against cancer and demonstrates continued robust activity in health care construction, which is generating hundreds of jobs and other economic development.
