Roxanne Amoroso

Roxanne Amoroso has resigned as senior vice president at Bank of America Community Development Corp., a major partner downtown Tampa's Encore mixed-use development, according to multiple sources.

Her replacement has not yet been named.

Tampa Housing Authority Chief Operating Officer LeRoy Moore said he was notified Tuesday by James Field, president of the bank's Community Development Corp.

"He said she abruptly resigned the previous evening, but he didn't have other details,” Moore said. "He said the bank was never more committed to the project and that he would organize the staff and find a replacement.”

Amoroso could not be reached Friday afternoon as news of her departure began circulating through the development community.

Amoroso focused more on master planning and horizontal infrastructure development for Encore, and for the Creative Village development in Orlando. Bank of America's Eileen Pope oversees vertical development.

Encore's first residential building, called Ella, is set to open in November. Two other residential buildings are scheduled to break ground by the end of the year.
