Done deals: VF Imagewear signs lease in Riverview

VF Imagewear has signed a lease for the entire 222,000-square-foot building at Oak Creek I in Riverview.

The Class A distribution facility, 8221 Eagle Palm Dr., sits on a 19-acre lot less than four miles from the US 301/Interstate 75 interchange.

VF Imagewear renewed another lease in July for nearly 220,000 square feet at 6422 Harney Road. The Tampa-based subsidiary of VF Corp. (NYSE: VFC) is responsible for the company's licensed sports apparel business.

Rick Narkiewicz and John Jenkins of CB Richard Ellis were the sole brokers in the Riverview transaction.

Apartments sold

The Queen Anne Apartments in St. Petersburg sold for $640,000. The new owner plans some renovations at the 18-unit property at 4729 39th Ave. N, in Disston Heights.

CB Richard Ellis associate Matt Baldwin negotiated the sale of the bank-owned asset to John Burpee.

Colliers deals

Colliers International Tampa Bay said it closed $6.56 million in sales of commercial real estate during August while leasing 164,270 square feet of commercial space during the month. Here are some of the highlights:

  • A 167,316-square-foot industrial building at 4907 Joanne Kearney Blvd. in Tampa sold for $5.2 million. Mark McKell of Colliers represented the buyer.
  • A 6,827-square-foot office building at 2550 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. in Tampa sold for $735,000. Jim Allen and Mark McKell of Colliers represented the seller.
  • A former Sonic at 8651 Ulmerton Road in Largo sold for $625,000. Tom Chamblee of Colliers represented the seller.
  • 27,500 square feet at the former Borders location, 909 N. Dale Mabry in Tampa. Jim Allen of Colliers represented FIO.
  • Allen also represented Optimal Outcomes in a 36,000-square-foot build-to-suit to lease to , at 3402 W Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd in Tampa.

Other transactions

  • Pivot Education Inc. has signed a 10-year lease for approximately 13,000 square feet at 3020 Falkenburg Road, a 27,000-square-foot office flex-industrial building in the First Park development near Interstate 75. Pivot is part of  family. M West is the real estate asset manager for the building and worked with the contractor and the leasing teams from Bishop & Associates Inc. and Steckroth Hospitality Group Inc. to complete this transaction.
  • Eshenbaugh Land Company in Tampa recently closed the $3.7 million sale of 67.15 acres at Centinel Commerce Center, Mall Hill Road and Interstate 4 in Lakeland. Plans call for the land to be developed as a car dealership. Other recent deals by the land company include the sale of a .69-acre parcel at 5224 S. MacDill Ave. in Tampa for $160,000, and the sale of 25.7 acres of vacant land at County Road 541 (Spring Lake Highway) in Brooksville for $225,000.
