Tampa Bay has dropped to 52^nd place from the 20^th spot in a nationwide list of housing foreclosures in cities with more than 200,000 residents.

Only the Cape Coral-Fort Meyers metro remains in the top 20 of RealtyTrac's Midyear 2011 foreclosure report released Thursday. Eight Florida cities were in the top 20 this time last year.

One in 86 Tampa Bay housing units are in some phase of foreclosure, compared to a national average of one in 111, according to the report.

The 15,427 Bay area housing units represent 1.16 percent of the housing stock, compared to 0.90 percent in foreclosure nationwide.
