An estimated 22.7 million visitors came to Florida in 2010's first three months, an increase of 2.7 percent from a year earlier, according to Visit Florida, the state's quasi-public tourism agency. Preliminary estimates by the agency showed the number of domestic visitors rose 1.6 percent, while overseas visitors increased 11.3 percent and Canadian visitors rose 10.4 percent. Traffic at Florida's 14 largest airports rose 1.9 percent for the quarter from a year earlier, and hotel occupancy was up 3.1 percent.
